Our First Women's League

Humphries Archery had our first women's only league! It was a fun night to get out and do what they love; visit with each other and shoot their bows! It was a total blast! Thanks to all those that participated! Our winners are: Heidi Mitchell, Mandy Pugh, Brittney Hassen
Congrats Ladies!

Our Annual Trip

Our Annual trip to Redding, California for The Western Classic Trail Shoot was in May. We go every year with a group of couples for a fun filled weekend of shooting. We shoot 3D targets from anything like butterflies at 4 yards to Bigfoot at 101 yards. It is so fun!It had rained and rained all day so at this target, they were standing bears(sorry Crystal its Tori updating the blog)which is 70 yards away the guys decided to take off their dripping wet shirts and shoot the last target of the day shirtless!!!
Here is Jule, Brian's mom, who got a 21 out of 22 on the elk which are 78 yards away! Good Job Jule!

We always have so much fun, it's a trip that is never missed!

BOWFISHING!!!!!!!

Monday was our day off and also Regens (20th) birthday, and all he wanted was to go to the lake and chase the infamous (arnoldswartza gold fish). For those of you looking for a great outing and some real skill sharpening, you need to try bow fishing. (What a Hoot)

You notice we even have the big boss (Lynn) with us, even Lynn doesn't miss out on the opportunity to go out and chase carp.
Bow fishing for carp is a great sport and fairly in expensive, well if you remember to take your phone out of your pocket before trying to be a good Samaritan and helping someone load their boat! But seriously what a great sport, find an old bow, bow fishing kit 20-100$ depending on your seriousness, (which we have at the store) and your state fishing licence. Boat is not required but fun if you do have one.
Shore bow fishing can also be very successfull. We have been trying to get a carp tournament going but the DWR is well you know ..***!!!! like talking to the wall. (you always have to talk to the next guy, and the next guy will never call you back:( So if any of you know the next guy please let me know his CELL NUMBER!!!

So come in and let the boys set you up with a bow, or bring in the old bow in the closet, and they can help you set up the kit, and you ll be making memories of your own.

Remember to bring a garbage can or something to put the carp in, its illegal to leave them on the shore or turn them back. And when you pull out of the lake its not hard to pawn them off on the fisherman on the shores. They are usually pretty willing to take them.
